Pediatric/Infant CPR

This course is ideal for expecting or new parents. (It does not provide certification needed for day care providers or health care professionals.)

It teaches adults how to perform CPR on children ages birth to eight years. It also includes training in child safety and choke-saving maneuvers.

This course meets once for four hours.

Special instructions:

  • Children are not allowed. While we realize that many people who are interested in this course have babies, it is impossible for someone with childcare responsibilities to benefit fully from the class. It can also serve as a distraction to other class participants.

  • Anyone who has a cold or a cold sore may attend the class but will have to defer from the mannequin practice.
  • You will be practicing CPR techniques on mannequins on the floor. Please dress comfortably and appropriately for these activities.
