Strong Women Stay Young - A National Fitness Program for Women

This 8-week exercise class for women over the age of 40 is based upon Dr. Miriam Nelson's Strong Women book series. It will teach you basic, safe exercises using weights. Supervision by trained professionals will ensure proper exercise form to avoid injury.

The program will help you to:

  • build muscle mass thereby assisting you in weight loss or maintenance
  • build bone mass thereby preventing osteoporosis
  • improve balance thereby decreasing the risk of falling
  • learn an exercise program that you can continue on your own at home after the completion of the course

This class meets for 2 one-hour sessions a week for 8 weeks.

An informative meeting to learn more about the course will be held a few weeks before the program begins.

    Fee:

    $95; $80 - discount rate for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates patients and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care members

    Cancellation Policy:

    If you cancel 5 days prior to the class, your payment can be applied to the next available class. This will enable us to fill the slot with someone from the waiting list. There will be no refunds issued for cancellation within 5 days of the class.

    If we cancel a course due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund and will be notified 3 business days before the course begins.
