Basic Babysitter Training
This class introduces children ages 11 to 14 to all aspects of babysitting. Beginning with the role of the babysitter, the course contents includes first aid and choke saving techniques as well as mealtime, bedtime, diapering and discipline. Issues of contracts and ethics are also covered. In addition, there is a police presentation on safety issues including door and telephone answering techniques, and accident and fire prevention.
Class participants are asked to bring to class a "babysitter entertainment kit" (specific directions for its preparation will accompany your class registration confirmation letter).
Snacks are provided.
This class meets once for 4 hours.

Fee:
$40; $35 HVMA/HPHC discount
Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel 5 days prior to the class, your payment can be applied to the next available class. This will enable us to fill the slot with someone from the waiting list. There will be no refunds issued for cancellation within 5 days of the class.
If we cancel a course due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund and will be notified 3 business days before the course begins.
